Brainstorming in exercise book
This is detailed plan of what camera shots, angles and movements, editing, Sounds and Character's actions we will use in our horror film. It is a step to step guide for us to know exactly what we are doing or needs to be done.
Storyboard
Above is our storyboard displaying a few major scenes from which our opening scene will contain and a few minor details about the narrative within these scenes. We have also included some named camera shots to enable us to start to think more about the technical aspects for our horror opening scene.
(1) The first scene shows one of the characters who is also one of the victims. She is outside of one of the two locations - Sixth Form. This helps the audience gather some pre knowledge about the character's age as they are in sixth form.
(2) The next scene, is in the forest which is where the majority of the filming will be taking place. Forests create a darkening effect as they are secluded and sometimes isolating to be in, especially at night.
(3) This scene is the section of which the horror aspect of the opening scene starts to occur, there seems like something is not quite right at this point also. We have 2 victims in our horror film opening scene and at this point one of them finds the other one dead and wants to discover how this occurred.
(4) This scene introduces more camera shots we are planning to use in our work. And ideas we have and that we also would like to interpret into our work and trial them in hope they work well with other aspects in our opening scene.
(5) This last box from the storyboard is more to do with our editing as we had an idea which had more aspects of the editing area than any other aspects in the media. We want to add a jump scare right at the end of the opening scene in order to startle the audience as they are less likely to predict one then than near the beginning.
